Pixie Campbell

"is a pioneer for the soul. She has started with her

workshops a revolution for wise and wild women to gather,

create, support, connect, conspire and heal themselfve

each other and the world. I am blown away by her courage,

honesty and the beauty with which she portrays the balance

of being 'strong as mountain and gentle as feather'." ~

Anna Wingfield

This is from one of her past souls that attended one of her previous SouLodges. I am working on getting it together so that I can join in on this Spring SouLode that will start in April. Go check it out and I am sure it will stir you spirit as it has mine.

So I just finished Connor's quilt top and I love how it turned out. I think Connor likes it to and he did a lot of work on this. He is my little quilt helper and does a great job of helping me.

This is the first row on my grandson, Connor's, quilt. He is a outdoors sorta of a fellow and is all about cowboys and farming so when I let him go through my quilt books to find a quilt he'd like he found a realy country quilt with steers, horses, cowboy boots and saddles. Thought I'd share the first row of steers.

I chose this pic today because I don't like posting without a pic for you all to enjoy. It also reminds me of myself in that I've always been more comfortable staying at home in the safety of this house which means I miss out on doing so many things with my friends but it is time for me to transition into a butterfly and get out and enjoy life with my friends so for the next two weeks I am going to go on a vaca to Des Moines, IA to spend some time with a very dear friend,,,,my friend I've had the longest on my journey. Patti and I went to 1st grade together and all the rest of our elementary years as well and we have remained friends through all the adventures in our journeys. We didn't see each other during our teen years but later as adults we reconnected and found out we still like all the same things, quilting, beading,,,,just being creative so these next two weeks will be spent creating magic. I'll post pics when I return.
Happy creating to you all.

This is my second girlie girl and she was inspired by my daughter, Shauna's BFF, who she has known for 15 or so years. Lindey is now a grown up young lady and loves her bling and rolling Texas style. Perhaps that is because she was born and raised in Texas and loves all things Texas. So I blinged her belt and a bit on the purse, could I have done more bling, perhaps but what I was really after was the whole cowgirl boots and shorts thing because when we visited a few months back Lindsey and Shauna and the guys went out and this is what Lindey had on, yeap shorts and boots and she looked to dang cute or as the younger set would say "HOT".
Oh now what girlie girl will come next,,hmmmmm?????

Well she is pretty much finished, my very first Girlie Girl Wall Art Quilt. My dear friend Carrie Payne from BelieveMagic inspired me to step outside my comfort zone and try something a bit different. It is one thing to sit down plan out a quilt, cut the pieces and sew it together but when it has more 3~D to it and you have to come up with all the extras for it, well let's just say it took me to a whole new place,,,,a place I fell in love with. For more info on the how to of one of these little jewels go on over and visit Carrie's web site.
